AFTERGLOW

Afterglow is my biggest accomplishment and favourite project I’ve made so far. I wrote, directed, co-edited, and handled the colour and sound design, making it a fully hands-on process from start to finish.At first, the film didn’t translate from script to screen the way I had imagined, so in the edit I completely rebuilt it--cutting it apart, reordering scenes, and essentially Frankensteining it until it worked. Editing became the main storytelling tool, not just assembly, as I used rhythm, structure, and sound to reshape meaning and turn a simple house party into something more surreal and psychedelic.More than anything, Afterglow reflects my interest in visual storytelling. I used to rely heavily on the script to carry my vision, but this project pushed me to focus on art direction, costume, sound design, music, and lighting to fully build the world. It taught me to see the edit as a creative space where a film isn’t just finished--it can be rebuilt.

60 SECONDS OF ME

This project was super fun to do but also quite challenging as i learnt i really don't have many videos of myself! While that made the project alot more challenging, i realized that not having much content of myself to use in a way reflects who i am as a person. Thats when i decided to go with the image most people have of me which is the person who consumes alot on media-- which is true. Thats why i decided to make my 60 seconds mostly consist of movies and music that i love rather than just a compilation of me.

EARLY BIRD GETS THE WORM

Early Bird Gets the Worm was a really fun project to make, especially because I wanted it to feel like a video game in film form. I was heavily inspired by Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, especially in how it blends visual style, pacing, and sound design to make reality feel a bit heightened and playful.Taking those influences really shaped my editing approach. I leaned into faster cuts, stylized transitions, and more expressive timing to make the film feel energetic and slightly “game-like” rather than strictly realistic. It pushed me to think more creatively about how editing can mimic structure and rhythm you’d normally find in games.It was also one of the first times I started experimenting with making my own music for a project. That process helped me better connect sound and image, and understand how audio can completely change the tone and momentum of a scene.

CITY SYMPHONY - CITY AS MOVEMENT

This project was super fun to make since it was one of the first projects i got to do camera on, which let me explore cinematography which is something i have always been passionate about i just hadnt got the chance to do my own. I also loved getting to explore the city and stepping out of my confort zones and facing my fear of filming stuff in public. I'm really happy with the end result, especially which my choice of music and the edit that came with it!
